Criterion have announced that a special edition DVD and Blu-ray of the cult cannibal comedy Eating Raoul — as if there would ever be a mainstream cannibal comedy — will be released on September 25.

Along with the film, which has been digitally remastered, the collection will include two short films also made by Raoul director and star Paul Bartel, a new documentary about the movie called Cooking Up ‘Raoul’, a gag reel, archival interviews with Bartel and his co-star Mary Wornov, the original trailer, an essay about the film by critic David Ehrenstein, and a commentary with screenwriter Richard Blackburn, editor Alan Toomaya, art director Robert Schulenberg.

The DVD version will retail for $29.95 while the Blu-ray will be $39.95.
