Group Therapy II: The Theraping

Just a day after announcing that The Avengers will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 25, the company has revealed what extras will be on which versions.

The single-disc DVD edition will include a commentary by director Joss Whedon and a making of featurette.

The two-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo pack will include the commentary and featurette, but will also add deleted scenes, a gag reel, the video for Soundgarden’s “Live To Rise,” a featurette on the visual effects, and more.

The four-disc 3D/DVD/BD combo will include all of the aforementioned extras as well as a digital download of the film and a download of the soundtrack album.

The second announcement also detailed the pricing, and said that — as Amazon had noted earlier — the DVD will be $29.99, a two-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo will b $39.99, and the four-disc 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo will be $49.99.
