And in showing off select scenes from the film, Showing off select scenes from the film, it was clear Fox made a good choice. While one scene did have some flying glass coming out of the screen, most of the scenes merely gave the film’s images more depth.

The Fox representatives also said that while the conversion took a while because this was the first film to undergo this upgrade, and that they did it using only one workstation, it would be a much shorter when they do movies in the future. At which point someone sneezed the word, “Simpsons.”

Along with the film, which is presented in HD in both 2D and 3D, the I, Robot 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack will also include a commentary by director Alex Proyas and screenwriter Akiva Goldsmith, a photo gallery, and a making-of featurette.

The disc will retail for $39.99.
