Dark Horse Comics have announced that their Sequential Pulp Comics imprint will publish a graphic novel based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Jungle Tales Of Tarzan.

Published in 1919, Jungle collected twelve loosely connected stories about the ape man that has originally been published monthly in Blue Book magazine.

The adaptation will be penned by Martin Powell, who last year released a graphic novel adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes story, The Hound Of The Baskervilles.

He’ll be accompanied on these stories by the artists Pablo Marcos, Terry Beatty, Will Meugniot, Nik Poliwko, Antonio Romero Olmedo, Mark Wheatley, Diana Leto, Steven E. Gordon, Lowell Isaac, Tom Floyd, and Jamie Chase.

The graphic novel will be released as both a trade paperback and a limited edition deluxe signed edition. Though presumably not signed by Tarzan. His penmanship is atrocious.
