King Of The Nighttime World

Dark Horse Comics have announced plans to adapt the novel Conan: The Hour Of The Dragon into a pair of six-issue miniseries starting May 29.

Published in 1950, and also issued as Conan The Conqueror, Dragon is the only novel about the barbarian-turned-talk show host that Robert E. Howard ever wrote. It is currently available in the collection The Bloody Crown Of Conan, which also includes the novellas The People Of The Black Circle and A Witch Shall Be Born.

The Dark Horse adaptation will be broken up into two parts: King Konan: The Hour Of The Dragon, which will run through October, and King Conan: The Conqueror, which will begin in February of 2014.

The book is being adapted by writer Timothy Truman and artist Tomás Giorello, who previously worked together on the Conan comics The Hand Of Nergal and Cimmeria.
