Never mind the Blu-ray

Fox Home Video has announced that the Blu-ray of “Sid & Nancy” will be released on December 27.

Directed by Alex Cox (“Repo Man”), this tragic love story starred Gary Oldman (“The Dark Knight) as Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious and Chloe Webb (“Twins”) as Vicious’ girlfriend Nancy Spungen. In October of 1978, Vicious was charged with murder after Spungen was found dead in their room at the Hotel Chelsea. Vicious died four months later of an apparent suicide by heroin overdose.

Along with the movie, the Blu-ray will also include two featurettes called “For The Love Of Punk” and “Junk Love.”

No price was listed in the press release, but Amazon has the disc listed as retailing for $24.99 (though their pre-order price is marked down to $17.49).
