Paramount Home Video have announced that the third season of Star Trek: The Next Generation will be released on Blu-ray on April 30.

Along with the twenty-six episodes, Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3 will also include a new roundtable of producers and writers hosted by Seth MacFarlane, a new documentary called “Resistance is Future: Assimilating Star Trek: The Next Generation,” promos, both new and previously released commentaries on select episodes, archival footage, a new gag reel, a new featurette on the writers, and “A Tribute to Michael Piller,” one of Trek writers.

In addition, that same day sees a separate release of Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Best of Both Worlds, which presents the two-part cliff hanger that ended season 3 and started season 4—which saw Picard getting assimilated by The Borg—but edited together into a single episode. This collection will also include a new featurette called “Regeneration: Engaging the Borg,” a new commentary, and a new gag reel.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3 will retail for $129.99 while Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Best of Both Worlds will be $24.99.
