There And Back Again

Warner Home Video have announced that The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released on DVD, in a 3-disc DVD/BD combo pack, and in a 5-disc 3D DVD/BD combo pack on March 19, with the digital edition coming a week earlier.

All three physical versions will include two hours of production videos that chronicle the making of the film from the start of production through its New Zealand premiere. In addition, the 3D version will also include the 3D version of the film (of course), while all three will also include a digital copy.

Even cooler, director Peter Jackson will host an online preview of the second Hobbit film, The Desolation Of Smaug, for people who buy this collection. Smaug is slated to hit theaters on December 13.

The DVD will retail for $28.98, the 3-disc DVD/BD combo pack will be $35.99, while the 5-disc DVD/BD version will be $44.95.
