It’s Time To Light The Lights

Disney have announced that the DVD and Blu-ray of “The Muppets” — our review of which you can read here — will be released on March 20.

The DVD comes with “The Longest Blooper Reel Ever Made (In Muppet History — We Think),” but there will also be a second version of the DVD that has card for a free download of the film’s soundtrack.

There will also be a two-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo pack that will include the aforementioned bloopers as well as deleted scenes, a making-of featurette called “Scratching The Surface: A hasty Examination Of The Making Of Disney’s ‘The Muppets’,” the full version of Tex Richman’s rap, footage of the Muppets doing a table read of the script, a function called “Disney Intermission” which has the Muppets taking over whenever you pause the movie, and commentary by star and co-writer Jason Sigel, director James Bobin, and co-writer Nicholas Stoller.

Lastly, the “Wocka-Wocka Value Pack” is a three-disc collection that pairs the DVD, Blu-ray, the downloadable soundtrack, and the above extras with a digital of the film, the soundtrack download card, and the trailers.
