At E3, Nintendo announced that Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon would be coming to 3DS owners in North America in time for holiday 2012. Well, it seems that some no-good ghosts have scared the game into showing up late.

As part of a long list of 3DS announcements today, Nintendo made it official that Dark Moon will now instead be coming in the first half of 2013. So, anytime between January 1st and June 31st, if their meaning of “first half” is the first six months of 2013.

Sure, it’ll suck having to now wait longer to get your hands on the game—but hey, at least a bunch of great 3DS releases will still be coming between now and then.
