Ubisoft has released the first screenshots of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, showcasing the same Middle Eastern setting we saw during the gameplay demonstration at this morning’s Microsoft press conference.

In Splinter Cell: Blacklight, Sam Fisher finds himself working to disarm a multinational terrorist plot. As the head of the newly created Fourth Echelon, he’ll have access to more resources than ever before, though he’ll still have to rely on the stealth combat that’s made the franchise a longtime hit.

Splinter Cell: Blacklight is slated to launch in spring 2013 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
