Evolve

YouTube user “jackfrags” has posted 23 minutes worth of gameplay from Turtle Rock Studios’ upcoming title Evolve.

The footage was recorded at a recent event in Munich, and is played out from the perspective of the monster—in this case the Kraken. The early footage shows the player killing the local wildlife in order to feed and grow in strength or “evolve.” Once strong enough the player can either go against the four hunters to try and take them out or attempt to destroy a generator to win the game.

The game’s main mode sees four player-controlled hunters—of which currently eight can be chosen from—going up against one human-controlled monster.

2K held an alpha test for the game on PC this weekend, but if you weren’t luck enough to get an invite don’t worry, because the publisher said that “there will be more opportunities to participate in future alphas and join the hunt.”

Evolve will be available from October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can read more about the game in our E3 hands-on preview here.
