The team behind Assassin’s Creed III is doing some pretty amazing things with the game, and part of what makes that possible is the technology it is being built upon.

“At the heart of Assassin’s Creed III, lies a radically redesigned game engine we call AnvilNext,” says Ubisoft. “This proprietary technology renders seamless worlds of nearly infinite possibilities. Transporting you deep inside America before it was America.”

You have to admit—Assassin’s Creed III is looking very awesome, and will undoubtably be another stand-out title in the series.

Update: We’ve switched out the European AnvilNext Engine trailer for the North American one.
