At Bandai Namco’s Global Gamers Day in Las Vegas last week, the company confirmed that a new Saint Seiya game is coming to the PS4, PS3, and PC this fall?and now they’ve officially revealed the news publicly.

Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul is a fighting game that incorporates elements and characters from the Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold anime, which just debuted over the weekend worldwide. It’s the follow-up to Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers, which released on the PS3 in 2013. Like that game, Soldiers’ Soul is developed by Dimps, probably best known for their work on Street Fighter IV.

For the uninitiated (which includes a good portion of North America, in this case), Saint Seiya originally ran in Japan’s top-selling manga anthology magazine, Shonen Jump, from the mid-’80s to the early ’90s. The franchise has spawned several animated series, movies, and video games over the years. Despite popularity in Japan, Europe, and Latin America, it’s never approached the same level of fandom in the English-speaking world, but players in the U.S. and Canada will get a chance to see what the fuss is about later this year.

If you’re intrigued at the thought of brave fighting men in impossibly shimmering armor yammering about things like “God Cloths” but can’t quite visualize the concept, check of the game’s announcement trailer, embedded below.
