A new update for the Battle.net launcher has added icons and a background image for Warcraft III, suggesting that support for Blizzard’s older RTS titles may be coming to the launcher in the near future.

Last year the developer revealed that it had a small team working on bringing the older strategy titles to modern PCs, and this update seems to hint at this team’s work almost being complete.

So far only three icons and a background image have been added to the launcher, according to MMO Champion.

Last month, Blizzard officially announced the cancellation of its next MMO project, codenamed Titan. We didn’t find the fun. We didn’t find the passion,” explained co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime at the time. “We talked about how we put it through a reevaluation period, and actually, what we reevaluated is whether that’s the game we really wanted to be making. The answer is no.”
