Call of Duty

Call of Duty: Black Ops III developer Treyarch released its second stand-alone preview trailer for a map in the upcoming DLC, this time focusing on the level known as Rift.

The map forces players to battle it out in a military complex sitting atop an active volcano. Treyarch’s description of the map states that it “forces tight, intense engagements, where the only way through is forward,” and that players should “utilize the unique core movement opportunities to outsmart and outplay enemies as [they] traverse the suspended rail system.”

The first map to receive the solo preview treatment was Verge, a reimagining of the popular Call of Duty: World at War map Banzai, now set in an arid slum as opposed to a lush jungle. The two remaining DLC maps yet to get their own previews are Spire, an airport terminal sitting above the clouds, and Knockout, an authentic Shaolin temple.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III‘s Eclipse DLC is set to launch April 19th with the four aforementioned multiplayer maps plus the new Zetsubou No Shima Zombies map.
