The Dead Ops Arcade 2 minigame in Call of Duty: Black Ops III will grant the ability to temporarily switch to a first-person perspective, marking a switch from the original’s exclusively top-down shoot’em’up gameplay.

Dead Ops Arcade 2, revealed through leaked Black Ops III trophies, is the sequel to the popular secret mini-game from the first Black Ops. This mode played in third-person with a top-down view and the sequel appears to be functionally similar based on leaked images. One new change, however, will allow players to go into a first person perspective for a limited amount of time (30 seconds based on leak) via a collectable power-up.

The degree to which this may change the mode’s design is unclear. Providing moments of first-person shooting would bring the experience closer to the full game’s official Zombies mode and would likely require more verticality to the map design.

The leaked content has been removed due to Activision take-down requests.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set to launch November 6th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The game will not include the story campaign on Xbox 360 and Ps3 versions, but will still offer Zombies mode and online multiplayer.

Treyarch and Activision haven’t officially announced Dead Ops Arcade 2, nor have they commented on whether it will make the cut in the pared-down versions for last gen.
