Developer From Software is expanding with the planned opening of a studio in Fukuoka, Japan, located about 675 miles west of its main headquarters in Tokyo.

When completed in January 2016, the expansion will work alongside the Tokyo studio to create 3D assets for From Software’s games. The Fukuoka location will be established by October, and the developer, known for the Souls series of games as well as Bloodborne, is currently accepting applicants to fill the roles of 3D Environment Artist and 3D Character Artist, according to a press release.

“FromSoftware has been actively developing video games for various platforms and they will continue to do so,” the release states. “The establishment of the new studio will expand their development capabilities to create globally competitive products.”

From Software is currently developing Dark Souls III for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. That game, as we recently learned, will be arriving in Japan on March 16th, while the launch date for the rest of the world remains unconfirmed.
