During a Reddit AMA, Deep Silver creative director Guido Eickmeyer mentioned how Dead Island fans should “not expect the series to stop at this point.”

According to Eickmeyer, nothing’s official yet, but a third Dead Island—as far as he’s concerned—”would be awesome.”

“I can only ask you to wait a bit further, then some really nice things will be revealed about the future of Dead Island,” he said.

The second entry in the franchise, Dead Island Riptide, launched on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in April. In his review, EGM’s Ray “Reviews Robot 3000” Carsillo described the game as buggy and problematic as its predecessor, but in many ways still fun.
