Star Wars Battlefront

EA will be revealing more information about Star Wars: Battlefront at the Star Wars Celebration expo in Anaheim on April 17th, but some fans will be able to get a whole lot more than just a trailer before then?they’ll get their hands on the game itself.

The company is holding playtests next Friday, April 10th, at both its corporate headquarters in Redwood Shores in the San Francisco Bay Area and at EA Canada in Burnaby, British Columbia, near Vancouver. The playtest is described as “three to four hours” in length, and “gamers of all types” are welcome.

Star Wars: Battlefront is an EA DICE reboot of the Pandemic-helmed titles of the same name released on the PS2, Xbox, and PC a decade ago. Rebellion Developments and n-Space later worked on PSP and DS spin-offs, and a third mainline entry was in the works from Free Radical Design before it was canceled deep in the development cycle in 2008. The game is currently slated for a holiday release later this year on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Gamers in the San Francisco Bay Area and Vancouver can playtest Star Wars: Battlefront next week

These players will get a look at the game before more details are revealed at Star Wars Celebration two weeks from now.
