A new video from Thomas Was Alone designer Mike Bithell explores the level editor component to his upcoming MGS-inspired stealth game, Volume.
?Volume gives players the ability to build and share levels, utilising all the props found in the game,? Bithell wrote in a post to the PlayStation Blog. ?Yes, all of them. Every gadget, gizmo, enemy type, environmental map, wall design, and colour palette can be used for your own creations. It?s a big part of the game that I hope players will get into.?
According to Bithell, he and the other developers strove to make the level editor as accessible as possible to promote user-created content and community. More interesting, the single-player campaign/story can be played using only user-created maps.
Volume is slated to launch later this year across PS4, Vita, Windows PC, and Mac OS X (Bithell said he?ll be announcing the official release date during E3 next month).
