As we wait to see if E3 will bring us a full reveal of the next chapter of the Mass Effect series, we at least have a few new teases this week to whet our appetite.

On Twitter, Mass Effect senior development director Chris Wynn gave us the blurry tease below, stating that “When we review Mass Effect, one TV cannot contain it’s awesomeness.” When a fellow Twitter user noted that the shot was out of focus, Wynn proclaimed “that was intentional.”

The really interesting post, however, came from another tweet, after Wynn was asked by @ReaperSlayer925 if the main character would have your typical roll/vault/run options like in previous Mass Effect games, or if they might now gain a jump like the protagonist in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

“We are evaluating everything to see what offers the best player experience,” Wynn said.

Thinking about it, it might be hard to go back to a non-jumping MC after all of the time I’ve spent playing Inquisition. On the other hand, though, there’s something about a sci-fi character in space armor jumping around like crazy that seems a little wrong if I think about it. Jumping is always a strange option in games: it’s a control function that doesn’t make sense to offer a lot of the time, yet games can feel lacking if it’s not there.

So, I’m torn on if I want jumping to be in Mass Effect 4 or not. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
