NBA 2K

Even the most casual sports fan known Steph Curry and his Warriors are the greatest NBA team today. The Warriors are entering the playoffs with an all-time-best season record of 73-9, and Steph Curry put up the greatest individual regular season in NBA history by some metrics.

Visual Concepts, the people behind the reigning basketball simulation, NBA 2K16, wanted to test just how great this Warriors team is without having to invent time travel or pull numerous middle-aged men out of retirement. As a third-best option, the game’s YouTube channel posted a short video chronicling simulated series between this season’s Warriors and three of the best NBA teams ever: the 1995?96 Chicago Bulls (now second place on the all-time regular season wins list), 2001?02 Los Angeles Lakers (best playoff record all-time), and the 2005?06 Miami Heat (because the 1985-86 Celtics weren’t available, I presume).

I wouldn’t want to spoil the results here, but know that only one classic team toppled Curry’s Warriors in the NBA 2K16 simulation, and that team is led by a Black Mamba.
