Payday 2: The Shadow Raid Heist, the latest free update for Overkill’s shooter will be available for free on Windows PC from May 29.

The mission tasks players with breaking into one of the Murkywater Corporation’s shipping yards to see what’s stashed in the containers. The containers hold cash, drugs, military intel, works of art, and more, but there’s a greater prize waiting at the heart of the compound, if you’re skillful enough to get there. A mysterious key-card secured, timelocked vault is located at the center of the compound, if players can get to it without alerting anyone they can earn a special reward.

For the first time in the game’s history there will be no “Plan B” with this mission. It’s strictly stealth only, if players get caught and do not deal with the situation quickly an alarm will sound. At this point players will have 60 seconds to get out of the building and make it to the pickup point, fail to get there and its game over.

Also, beginning May 29, those who don’t already own the game can play it for free until June 2, and it is also available at a 67 percent discount during this time for those who wish to purchase it.
