Running With Scissors has announced the release date of its upcoming HD remaster of classic twin-stick shooter Postal.
“In Postal Redux, players take control of The Postal Dude as he battles to survive in a world gone MAD,” the developer writes. “Crazed gunmen are out for blood and wait around every corner. Players fight back with a destructive arsenal as they make their way through a kill-or-be-killed psychological Thriller.”
The HD remaster of Postal will feature new levels and the brand-new Rampage Mode, a new single-player mode based around a scoring system, which offers players an increasing multiplier for each consecutive kill.
One of the new levels, The Carnival, allows players to explore and battle through an amusement park filled with classic rides including a Ferris wheel. A new final level will also be added to the game.
“19 years ago, we had no clue of the impact that Postal would have on society and gaming history,” Vince Desi, founder of Running With Scissors, said. “On behalf of everyone at RWS we give thanks for the many years of support.”
Postal Redux launches May 20th for PC and will be coming to PlayStation 4 in Q4 2016.
