Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

A video breakdown of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege‘s newest operators will aid players in getting custom to these Navy SEAL tacticians.

First up is Valkyrie, who plays for the defending team. She uses her unique Blackeye sticky cameras, which can be thrown onto virtually any surface and operated just like the other cameras in the game. Teammates can also utilize Valkyrie’s cameras, so putting them in a variety of locations is essential, particularly considering the cameras’ extra-wide field of view. They are can be destroyed, however, and a large blue light on their front makes them stand out if they’re not tactically placed.

On the attacking side can be found the new operator named Blackbeard, who mounts a small ballistic shield to the front of his rifles. The shield is transparent, giving Blackbeard the opportunity to expose his head and line up a shot without fear of getting clipped. Players should be aware that the rest of his body is just as vulnerable as always, and the rifle-mounted shield can be broken if it takes enough damage.

These two operators arrived in Rainbow Six Siege‘s Operation Dust Line expansion, which launched for Season Pass holders May 9th. The expansion’s Middle East mpa, Border, as well as the collections of new vanity items, are available to all players free of charge, but anyone without the Season Pass won’t have access to the new operators until May 18th, at which point they can be purchased with the in-game currency, Renown.
