Dark Souls III

Okay, this is one of those things you’ll want to take with a huge grain of salt, but a new video has come out purporting to show screenshots and reveal information from the rumored Dark Souls III.

This comes from the folks at The Know, who also happened to be responsible for the “Microsoft is buying Silent Hills for a billion dollars” rumor. So, yeah?keep that in mind.

However, in this new video , the guys are showing off a ton of screenshots and concept art they claim to have been leaked for Dark Souls III, and some of it is very interesting. Even if this isn’t real, that shot which seems to show the sun melting is so what I think of when I think Dark Souls?or, at least, the kind of Dark Souls that I want to play.

I’m not really to totally call BS on this one just yet?but I’m also not ready to say these shots and info are from Dark Souls III. We know a lot of concept art and mock screens are crafted for games when they’re being pitched or early in development, so it’s possible this stuff could just be unused material from some past project. Early work that was scrapped on Dark Souls II? Perhaps From was pitching the idea of Demon’s Souls 2 before that game became Bloodborne? Content for a DLC expansion that never came out?

For now, I’d consider the images and details revealed in this video to nothing more than fun “what if” type of stuff. We’ll know for sure in less than two weeks once E3 kicks off, so save any excitement you might have until then.

Warning: The video below contains some mature language. Viewer discretion is advised.
