Rocket League will be getting cross-platform play between Xbox One and PC this spring.
Psyonix revealed today that cross-platform play was the number one most requested feature since the game was announced for Xbox One last year. PlayStation 4 players have enjoyed playing PC players since the game launched, but Xbox One players will have to wait until the spring to compete with their PC playing friends.
The developer soccer-with-cars game will be the first game with cross-network multiplayer available on Xbox One. Presumably more games will see the same support in the future since Microsoft is working to blur the line between consoles and PC’s with the Universal Windows Platform.
There are no details on when we can expect to see play between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 other than that information would be “coming soon.”
