Despite working with Infinity Ward on Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that it will not be partnering with the developer again for the recently announced Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Sledgehammer confirmed last night that the team is currently “heads down” on its next project:

The developer was working on a cancelled third-person Call of Duty spin-off before being called in to work on Modern Warfare 3. According to recent job listings, it is currently working on an unannounced Call of Duty title.

Yesterday, Activision officially announced Call of Duty: Ghosts to the world revealing a November 5 release date for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and “next generation platforms.” You can check out the game’s first teaser trailer here.
