Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2’s dismemberment DLC has been canceled, developer City Interactive told VideoGamer.

The title was originally suppose to release with the feature to shoot off limbs, but City Interactive pulled it to ensure the game wasn’t banned in Germany. Then the developer told Joystiq in June 2012 that the dismemberment feature would be made available through DLC after it launched.

Now, obviously, it’s not happening at all.

“I can confirm that CI Games are no longer going to be releasing the dismemberment DLC,” a representative told VideoGamer.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is now available for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. You can read our review here.
