Takedown: Red Sabre, developer Serellan’s successfully crowdfunded squad-based tactical shooter, will arrive on Xbox Live Arcade and Steam on September 30, Joystiq reports.

Creative director Christian Allen, who previously worked on Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Halo: Reach,  informed Joystiq that their spiritual successor to first-person shooters like Rainbow Six and SWAT 4 will be priced at $14.99. Kickstarter backers will be able to get their hands on the game earlier.

Takedown reached its $200,000 Kickstarter goal April 2012. The title features a six-person co-op mode and 12-person competitive multiplayer. For more on the punishing tactical shooter, be sure to read Josh’s hands-on impressions from the time he spent with Takedown during his trip to QuakeCon 2013.
