gtx 1080 maybe

Graphics card designer Nvidia has announced a live stream scheduled for tonight, and although it provided no concrete details, all signs point to the reveal of the next series of graphics cards based on the latest chip architecture.

The GTX 1070 and 1080 are expected to officially debut tonight, especially since it looks like benchmarks of the latter card have already been leaked along with an alleged image of the new flagship card from Nvidia. While those benchmarks are without an exact reference clock, just know the GTX 1080 should outperform most cards in terms of raw speed, but there is no telling how it performs in a live environment that may include 4K or the latest VR programs.

NVIDIA will broadcast the special event on its Twitch stream at 6 p.m. PT, and those in the Austin, Texas area can attend live starting at 7:30 p.m. CT.
