Mad Max

In a world of fire and blood, a Road Warrior needs not just a good ride, but the ultimate ride. In Avalanche Studios? Mad Max, Max Rockatansky loses his trusted Interceptor during his search for redemption. Enter the Magnum Opus, the next great wasteland vehicle designed by a mad mechanic.

In reality, Lead Artist Daniel Persson is responsible for Max?s new wheels, and along with West Coast customs, they went to work on a physical manifestation of their vision. Watch as Persson and Director of Narrative Content Odd Ahlgren drive the Magnus Opus itself at the Wasteland Weekend?a large post-apocalyptic festival in southern California.

West Coast Customs?known for giving Paris Hilton a pink Bentley, and former Ed Hardy Christian Audigier a Hummer?combined a Ford Maverick and Ranger to piece together the Magnum Opus. Fans of the original film might appreciate the choice of a Ford, as it was an Australian-only version of the Ford Falcon XB GT that was used as the base model for Max?s Interceptor.

While the keys of real-life version of the Magnum Opus will be available to a select few, players can take control of the ultimate wasteland vehicle when Mad Max arrives on September 1st for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
