You know what’s always fun? Deadlines. Nothing makes a weekend feel like it’s yours than having a whole mess of long games to soldier through before its close. Sleep is for the weak. In its place, I’ll be playing Tales of Xillia, Pikmin 3, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches?in no particular order.
Now, don’t get me wrong?I’m looking forward to all these games. After listening to Andrew sing Xillia‘s praises, I’m excited to jump back into the JRPG scene, a scene that once defined my gamer habits and kickstarted my games journo career. I’m about six or seven hours into the latest Tales so far, and while I’m not into JRPG writing (read: dialogue) like I once was, I’m diggin’ Milla and Jude’s adventure.
What I’m most excited to get my hands on, however, is The Brigmore Witches. Finally time to close the book on Daud’s story, which Knife of Dunwall proved is infinitely more interesting than Dishonored proper?a great game itself, but its DLC is just better.
Still, I think after we close out issue #261 I’m going to take a break from games, maybe read a book or something.
