New and returning players can now get a free ticket to the Nexus as WildStar has finally made the switch to free-to-play.

?Today is an important milestone in WildStar?s history and the team has been working very hard to make sure the game is better than ever,” said Mike Donatelli, product director, Carbine Studios. ?We received a ton of positive feedback from our fan base through our closed beta and have worked to create a game that is fun, accessible, and engaging for all players.”

In addition to a new business model, Carbine has also released the WildStar: Reloaded update, which includes new content, enhanced game systems, special in-game events, and lots of quality of life improvements.

There’s still a subscription option called Signature for players who wish to continue supporting the game. Signature offers priority server access, more rested XP, the ability to create parties and guilds, increased XP and reputation gain, and much more.

The client can be downloaded here.
