The Elder Scrolls

Remember last year when Bethesda was offering The Elder Scrolls Online owners $1 million just for playing? Well a winner has now been selected.

30-year-old Ryan Rager from Costa Mesa, California is the lucky player that is now $1 million richer.

“A self-professed fan of the Elder Scrolls franchise, Rager is relatively new to Elder Scrolls Online,” Bethesda writes. “‘I have always played on console,’ he says. ‘I was late getting an Xbox One, waiting till last October to get one as a gift to myself.’ The first game he bought? The Elder Scrolls Online.

According to Rager, some of the money will be used to pay for his wedding.

As for Rager’s reason to play The Elder Scrolls Online: ?For me, it?s the size of the world,? he says. ?My favorite games are the ones where a player can go his or her own way and choose their own path. I love that there is a story, and you can choose to follow it, or if you wish, completely go off the beaten path and do your own thing. ESO gives the gamer the freedom of choice.?

The Elder Scrolls Online is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
