Customization is king

THE BUZZ: Unseen levels of customization permeate the multiplayer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

WHAT WE KNOW: New strike package customization fits the needs of the style of players depending on if you want to be Assault (standard CoD player), Support (more objectives based player), or Specialist (ultimate lone wolf). Weapon leveling up rewards you for being more and more proficient with a weapon with brand new attachments and additional perks not only for the player, but for the specific weapon as well, allowing for more customizable load outs. Include the return of custom weapon camo and your soldier will play on the field exactly how you want him to and provides an ever-changing landscape, as no two players will likely ever play the same.

EGM’S TAKE: This is a service to the fans as the guys behind Call of Duty heard what the community was looking for and gave it to them, trying to cater to everyone’s play style. Also rewarding players for things like capturing checkpoints to help get those higher kill streaks (now a point collector, 1 kill = 1 point, 1 objective = 1 point) will help even things out for lesser experienced players. Throw in nuances for each strike package like no air support for Specialists to really change their solo skills and Support classes not having their point counters reset after death are just some of the options that will really have you mulling over how you want to build your load outs. You might even have different load outs for different game modes depending on how you prefer to play in each mode! This will allow players and clans to really build unique strategies when it comes to only play and we will see a Call of Duty multiplayer experience probably like never before because of it.
