Ratchet & Clank: Before the Nexus, an endless runner for mobile devices, will allow players to earn extra bolts and Raritanium for Into the Nexus, Insomniac Games revealed today.

Gameplay in Before the Nexus is similar to Temple Run, with Ratchet infinitely moving forward on the screen, riding grindrails that players can hop between to avoid hazards while picking up collectables to spend on weapon and armor upgrades. According to senior producer Greg Philips, the team will be hosting a PlayStation Livestream “in the coming weeks” to provide a better look at Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus’ mobile companion app/game.

Insomniac also offered up a new trailer for Into the Nexus (embedded below), which shines a spotlight on six of the game’s quirky weapons: the Netherbeast, the Vortex Grenade, the Winterizer, the Netherblades, Mr. Zurkon (& family), and the Nightmare Box.

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus launches exclusively for PS3 through both PSN and physical retail release, priced at $29.99, on November 12.
