According to NeoGAF user RoKKeR, an October 29, 2013 release date for Battlefield 4 was spotted on the Xbox Blogs.

The specific release date has since been removed, but RoKKeR was able to copy the exact text as he saw it earlier today:

“Only in Battlefield can players go through a building instead of around it, eject from a jet and take out the enemy mid-free fall, or flip a tank. DICE, a studio of Electronic Arts, announced that Battlefield 4 will arrive on the Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013.”

The release date seems fairly legitimate. It would put Battlefield 4’s launch in line with when we expect the next Xbox console will hit shelves—though none of this is confirmed, and remains purely speculative (based solely on the Xbox and Xbox 360 launches).

Battlefield 4 was unveiled at GDC last week alongside a 17-minute video. It is confirmed for PC, PS4, and other next-gen consoles.
