As promised, Activision showcased new gameplay footage of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts during a pre-E3 broadcast last night.
During the broadcast Infinity Ward producer Mark Rubin revealed that the game’s protagonist dog–which was hyped a lot during the game’s reveal–is named Riley, before revealing footage from a level where players get to take control of him. Riley can use his speed to attack enemies and seize them opening them up for free shots, which switches the view back to your soldier allowing you to take them.
A second gameplay video was then shown which features the usual set piece theatrics that Call of Duty has become famous for. In this section players take control of a group of divers as they navigate the seabed and ship wreckage strewn along it.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to release November 5 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release has also been confirmed.
