FIFA 14 Next-gen Trailer Focuses on Elite Technique and In-air Gameplay

Posted on November 8, 2013 AT 05:52am

EA Sports has released a new trailer for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 14, which offers a look at the new Elite Technique and In-air Gameplay features.

According to the developer, the Ignite Engine and the power of next-gen consoles has allowed the team to implement over 1,000 new animations, allowing for “hundreds of new skills and behaviors.” Elite Technique allows players to perform chest passes, slice lobs, and new one touch passes.

In-air Gameplay allows multiple players to challenge for headers on set-pieces–in the old games only two ever challenged–leading to a more realistic feeling game. Players will also be able to adjust the power, angle, and direction of headers in the next-gen versions.

FIFA 14 is set to release alongside both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
