GRID 2 ‘Live Routes’ System Mixes Up the Track, Trailer

Posted on May 1, 2013 AT 07:08am

Codemasters has released yet another trailer for GRID 2. This time the developer is showcasing the game’s Live Routes system which switches up the layout of the track on the fly so that no two races are the same.

The system is designed to reduce the repetition that is involved in most racing games by destroying memorized racing lines and keeping concentration high while racing. The system will randomly select a new layout at each junction–out of a possible six–to keep things constantly changing. Of course this will only happen on a per-race basis and won’t change lap by lap.

Earlier this week Codemasters released three new gameplay trailers for GRID 2 and also a one hour livestream which features two modes from the game, Time Attack and Overtake.
