The Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel’s ragtag band of antiheroes, are making the jump to Disney Infinity 2.0, executive producer John Vignocchi has announced.
Groot, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, and Star-Lord will all appear in Disney’s game as part of their own playset that sees Ronan the Accuser hunting them down to get hold of the Infinity Stone. Studio Gobo, the team behind the Pirates of the Caribbean set, are in charge of its creation.
Each of the team will have their own special abilities. Star-Lord has access to a super jump and dual pistols, Drax wields dual daggers and can climb walls, Rocket Raccoon can fire off a giant blast wave, Groot can extend his limbs to launch range attacks, and finally Gamora can launch quick attacks against multiple targets.
The Guardians of the Galaxy pack also includes Toy Box discs that add themed armor, environments, items, and more.
Earlier today, Disney announced that Disney Infinity 2.0 would be getting a special Marvel Super Heroes Collector’s Edition on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 that will offer exclusive early access to The Hulk figurine.
Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) is set to launch September 23 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, and iOS.
