A new cinematic trailer for Lara Croft’s upcoming adventure Rise of the Tomb Raider has appeared online, offering a brief look at the game ahead of its E3 2015 appearance.
The trailer shows Lara climbing up the side of a mountain before plummeting back down it thanks to a chunk of weak ice. According to Camilla Luddington, the voice of Lara Croft, for some?presumably Lara included?discovering the secrets of the world is the only way to live.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available this fall as a timed exclusive on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It’s currently unknown exactly how long PlayStation and PC owners will have to wait to get their hands on the game.
Earlier this year, Square Enix head of studios Darrell Gallagher confirmed that Crystal Dynamics will only be responsible for the Xbox One version of the Rise of the Tomb Raider, with Netherlands-based Nixxes being placed in charge of the Xbox 360 release.
?There are millions of players out there who have an Xbox 360 and those console translations take time,” Gallagher said at the time. “So we did a test. Nixxes put together a tech demo of Rise of the Raider content running on Xbox 360, and we were totally blown away by what they achieved. But the existence of that game isn?t limiting our work on the Xbox One version.?
A full gameplay reveal will take place during Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference, which is scheduled for June 15.
