Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for LEGO The Hobbit after officially announcing the game last month.
The game is being developed by Telltale and will cover the first two movies (An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug) using LEGO’s humorous style. The game will allow you to play as a large number of characters from both films including Gandalf, Bilbo, Thorin, Fíli, Kíli, Óin, Glóin, Dwalin, Balin Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori, and Ori. Players will also get to visit several familiar locations from the films, such as The Shire and Rivendell.
“Players will follow Bilbo Baggins as he is recruited by the Wizard Gandalf to aid Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves. Bilbo leaves the comforts of the Shire on a journey through Middle-earth to help the Dwarves reclaim their lost Kingdom of Erebor within the Lonely Mountain,” reads the publisher’s description.
LEGO The Hobbit is set to release spring 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, 3DS, and Wii U.
