Square Enix has released a new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, offering a recap of the Final Fantasy XIII story so far using a 16-bit art style. The video offers a quick rundown of the events of Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 to catch players up ahead of the release of Lightning Returns next month.

A demo is currently available for the game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which allows players to take control of Lightning as she explores the Yusnaan province in search of Snow. Completing the demo and uploading your score to the Outerworld will unlock an exclusive Siegfried outfit for Lightning in the retail version.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is set to release February 11 in North America and February 14 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
