Square Enix has released the opening CGI cinematic of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which introduces a couple of the main characters and briefly explains the plot.

Lightning has just 13 days to save the world. The game takes place over these 13 days, and time will advance with each decision you make, so use your time wisely.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is set to release February 11, 2014 in North America and February 14, 2014 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
