Square Enix has released a new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII which focuses on the game’s combat system.

Players will take part in real-time battles that see Lighting having to successfully evade attacks before attacking herself. Players will also be able to customize Lightning’s gear to suit the type of battle and certain enemies will have conditions that need to be met before damage can be dealt, such as stagger.

The publisher recently announced that Yuna’s outfit, weapon, and victory pose from Final Fantasy X will be available for Lightning if you pre-order from Amazon in North America.

Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is set to release February 11 in North America and February 14 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
