EA and Ford have teamed up to offer Need for Speed Rivals players a chance to test drive the new 2015 Mustang, the sixth generation of the classic muscle car.

“We worked closely with the development team at EA to provide them with engineering data for the new Mustang, several months before we showed it to the rest of the world. Computer design models enabled the game developers to create an accurate representation of the new Mustang before it goes on sale,” Ford product licensing manager Mark Bentley said.

Players can download the car for free on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.

“While the driving is superb and the visuals are stunning, the inherent limitations of Rivals‘ AllDrive concept begin to hamper the experience near the end,” Josh Harmon said in our Need for Speed Rivals review.
