THE BUZZ: Ubisoft has released a spate of new screenshots for the upcoming movie-to-game adaptation, The Adventures of Tintin.

Hitting North America on December 6 — and releasing today in Europe and other terriroties — the game follows the titular star of numerous cartoon books, as well as a highly anticipated holiday film from Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson. While Tintin might not be a household name in the U.S., the much beloved character is nearly as recognizable as Mickey Mouse in other parts of the world.

The game will release on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Nintendo 3DS. These shots are from the high-res version of the game.

EGM’s TAKE: Both the movie and this game look really cool! We are hoping it finds some success on this side of the pond since, as lifelong nerds, we have appreciated Tintin for a long time.

Do you know who Tintin is? Do you care?
